Counselling Services
Description

Outpatient service that uses "cognitive behaviour" strategies to help adolescents with depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety ages 13yrs to 18yrs.  The process is generally explored through 12 to 20 individual and/or family sessions, usually on a weekly basis. There is a component of psycho-education for both the youth and family. The approach focuses on exploring solutions, identifying available resources, and developing new approaches to coping with emotions, thoughts, and social situations.
