Windsor-Essex County Health Unit’s surveillance system has identified 15 drug-related Emergency Department visits over the past few days (May 26 – 28). An alert is triggered when the rate of ED visits exceeds the running average by two standard deviations or more over a specified period. Multiple substances have been detected, and no single substance can be identified as the cause of these overdose events. |
