Description

Provides a "no wrong door" to mental health services in assisting individuals by providing information to identify the problem and assisting them in accessing appropriate services. This service will assist those seeking services by referring them when they are uncertain of the problem and/or the service options available in the community to address their needs. Specific services include:

  • Information and referral function to appropriate services within CMHA-WECB or the community for mental health and substance use 
  • Education 
  • Assessment services provide timely, comprehensive medical psychological and social assessments for individuals experiencing mental health issues and requiring access to services. Individuals may then be linked to a wide variety of services to support people and their families within CMHA-WECB or the community 
  • Crisis planning/intervention/prevention 
  • Person centered planning 
  • Supportive counselling
  • Advocacy
